Cinevolution is a non-profit film and media arts society based out of Richmond, BC that seeks to increase media literacy, social awareness, and strengthen community and cross-cultural understanding through film and media art. Winner of the 2012 Richmond Artistic Innovation Award and 2013 Nova Star Award of Volunteer Richmond.

Digital Carnival 2019: FIRE is the final installment in a 4-part series seeking to unpack the complex relationship between art, nature, and technology. This year’s exhibition features over a dozen emerging national and international artists with exciting works including video projections, interactive installations, virtual reality projects and more!
Part of the Richmond World Festival, this exciting summer event is attended by more than 3000 people from all over the Lower Mainland each night. If you love art, culture, diversity and summer fun, then this is the volunteer opportunity for you!
// VOLUNTEER JOB DESCRIPTIONS
WE’RE LOOKING FOR YOU:
Event ambassadors will help to ensure the success of the event by setting up, welcoming artists and guests, attracting patrons, answering questions, maintaining order, and providing further support where needed. Ambassadors will work as a team to staff the entry and exit to the tents, help people move through the exhibit, inform them about upcoming performances, encourage them to interact with the artists and their work, and share information about digital carnival and Cinevolution. We would like to see energetic and outgoing personality!
Photographers and/or videographers will help us record footages from the festival. Are you a professional photographer looking to expand your portfolio? A budding filmmaker? A film student? If you are a photography/filmmaking enthusiast, we’d like to hear from you. You will be responsible for capturing moments throughout the festival, taking pictures/videos of the crowd, artists, performances, and various exhibits over the two days. Creativity and a passion for visual media is a must!
Please Note: All volunteers will be required to familiarize themselves with the event program, schedule, and layout. A short orientation will be provided at the beginning of your shift to address any of your questions or concerns.
