Rogers Radio Vancouver (JACK 96.9, KiSS RADiO, NEWS 1130 and Sportsnet 650) is seeking a superstar Promotions Coordinator with an outgoing personality and flexible schedule to assist in the day-to-day duties of the promotions department.

Reporting to the Promo Director, this individual will be able to organize and execute station and client promotions, as well as on-site activations. You must be creative and possess tremendous people and communications skills. In many instances, you will be the face of our stations at events & promotions.

Digital proficiency is an asset. An understanding of how digital & social enhances promotions is essential, and candidates with experience will have a competitive advantage. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as WordPress is required.

Must be available outside designated work hours as part of the role for special on-site promotional events, sales remotes, etc. You must have the ability to work in a fast-paced working environment both independently and as a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating promotions as directed by the Promotions Director including preparing promotional packages for Programming and Sales.
  • Direct dealings with Account Managers and clients.
  • Conceptualize and create onsite activations for events and concerts.
  • Client Wrap Up Reports.
  • Look for cross-promotional opportunities with our TV Stations.
  • Set up and MC station Movie Premieres, as well as taking the lead on premiere packages.
  • Lead a team to represent our brands at events with enthusiasm.
  • Maintain a detailed and organized prizing grid for all four stations.
  • Updating station websites & social media including website copy editing to keep sites current.
  • Attend weekly meetings and client meetings as needed.
  • Administrative duties as needed.
  • Write promos and keep an updated inventory of promotional airtime for NEWS 1130.
  • Maintain a detailed promotions calendar.
  • Organize Sales Remotes and schedule staff.
  • Prepare weekly schedules for the Street Team and appearances for all four stations.
  • Preparing all information and promotional kits for staff for each event.
  • Must be available to work outside of work hours to attend special promotional events when needed.
  • Oversee station vehicle maintenance & scheduling.
  • Organizing the Promo Lock Up and keep a detailed inventory list.
  • Reception Coverage as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Promotions Director.

Qualifications:

  • Must be highly detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision.
  • Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and a passion to succeed.
  • College or University diploma or degree in Radio, Public Relations or Marketing
  • Communication and people skills a must.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & WordPress.
  • Knowledge of PhotoShop and ability to shoot & edit video an asset.
  • Must hold valid CLASS 5 Driver’s Licence
  • Strong writing a major asset.
