Job Description

Nature and Scope of Work

Project lead on MOPA 210 – Project #3. This is a 6-credit film production course that requires mentorship through pre-production, production and post-production. 8 projects (4 cohorts with 2 productions each).
Duties include:

  • Overseeing the course from release to delivery
  • Observing safety protocols
  • Maintenance of the 210 Moodle site
  • Coordinating student pitches, crew-ups and concept meetings, tech surveys and production meetings
  • Structuring and scheduling of craft intensives
  • Coordinating assignments and ensuring that faculty evaluate student’s work and submit grades
  • Coordinating mentors and lab supervisors on all projects
  • Ensuring that all MOPA/BOSA protocols are followed
  • Liaising with post faculty to ensure that the post schedule is in place and congruent with student availability
  • Liaising with admin staff and studio techs to ensure that room booking, gear load-outs and load-ins are scheduled
  • Liaising with Prod Design faculty to ensure that project, curriculum synergies are actualized
  • Liaising with other project leads to avoid any scheduling conflicts
  • Liaising with BOSA director to ensure that all insurance, petty cash, permitting, wrap, and safety procedures are followed
  • Ensuring that all final marks are loaded onto Moodle and onto the year-end CRN.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Fifteen years of professional experience and credits in the Film and Television industry. A Bachelor and/or Master degree preferred. Post secondary teaching experience preferred.
