Seeking a candidate who will assist in helping to build and engage our company’s customer base. We have a small local office dedicated to meeting the needs of our Western Canadian customer base. Support Team members will learn all aspects of the services we provide in order to communicate directly with customers to address service inquiries, resolve bugs, and provide overall guidance with how to navigate our site and services.
The right candidate will contribute creatively and share their perspective for improving customer service and user interface.
This job will require you to provide technical support to the Western Canadian film, TV and theatre community (Casting Directors, Talent Agents, Actors and Filmmakers) and work with our other offices to provide a cohesive customer support experience. You will need to be flexible and mobile and at a moments notice deliver and set up camera equipment or troubleshoot at a casting office. A technical background (knowledge of video editing, computers, video cameras, casting and filmmaking) is a big plus.
The right individual will possess the ability to think critically and find solutions to unique challenges while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and coworkers.
We are seeking a team player who enjoys a variety of tasks and responsibilities and is eager to learn new skills.
Your responsibilities:
Email, phone, online chat support
Reading, writing copy and copy editing
Providing remote and in-person technical support (services, cameras, laptops, peripherals)
Maintaining equipment (cameras, laptops, peripherals) inventory, software updates, physical condition
Training and demonstrating how to use our services and equipment (phone, online, in person, one-on-one and to larger audiences)
Outreach and seminars: representing the company at educational seminars and events
Delivery, set-up and pick-up of equipment (laptops, cameras and peripherals)
Social media assistance
Creative input on marketing
Replicating and reporting bugs to the development team
Continuous training: Stay up to date on new product features and improvements
Help shape our Customer Success processes and culture
Qualifications:

Ideally you:
Have a broad experience in technical support for both Windows and Apple computers and web browsers
Are familiar with web technology and are willing to master our services
Are tech savvy, enjoy learning new skills and are passionate about the film industry
Have excellent people skills and are comfortable with public speaking (in groups and one on one) and speaking in front of an audience
Can work as easily independently as you can with a team
Can work calmly, precisely and efficiently during high stress/busy times.
Have excellent writing skills and thoroughly enjoy writing
Have experience with office suites (Word, Google Docs, Slack, Chatlio, Freshdesk etc.)
Have great problem solving and detective skills and are able to troubleshoot and work through challenges to find a solution
Have an endless supply of patience and empathy
Reliable, responsible, conscientious and trustworthy
Have a great attitude
Feel excited about working on a small team who share a passion for technology, writing and customer service
Are creative and self-motivated
Work quickly and carefully

Have experience with photo and video editing tools
Have specific experience in the film and television industry (cameras, casting office, filmmaker)
Have exceptional grammar, reading, writing and communication skills
Have a valid driver’s license
Have a valid passport
This position is located in Vancouver BC. Local candidates preferred.
