College Montrose Children's Place
Are you a digital media professional looking to use your craft to give back? Would you like to be a part of a short-term project that will have a profound impact on the community?
About the Company:
College-Montrose Children’s Place (CMCP) is a not-for-profit family resource program connecting children, parents, grandparents and caregivers in an ever-changing community with diverse needs. CMCP focuses on supporting healthy child development, strengthening parenting knowledge and skills, breaking down isolation while valuing inclusion and harmony.
Pre-Covid, CMCP offered numerous in-person programs, designed and planned to facilitate family support and provide a place where children, families and caregivers could interact, learn and play together. In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, CMCP has shifted the delivery of their programs to an online format and we are seeking individuals who can support us in that endeavour.
At CMCP, above all we value connection, engagement, harmony and inclusivity. As a volunteer with us you will be considered a very valuable member of our community and be offered many exciting opportunities to build your own connections, learn new skills and give back to your community.
CMCP is seeking a volunteer video editing professional to create a promotional “trailer” for our virtual program offerings. The individual will put together the video using footage of interviews, testimonials and selected clips of our virtual programs. Ideally you will have some graphic design and/or visual effects skills.
This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community at a time when we are required to physically isolate from each other. It’s also a chance to get creative and implement some innovative storytelling strategies. You will work with the Virtual Program Assistant to create this impactful video that will be shared with our donors and community of participants.
IMPORTANT: Please note this is time sensitive role. The project is due by the end of November 2020. Please submit ASAP with your resume, examples of your video editing and graphic design/animation/vfx and a short cover letter explaining why you are interested in volunteering for College Montrose Children’s Place.
