The Lead Editor will be part of a small but growing team, working on a wide variety of projects across accounts and offices. A master at story-telling, the Lead Editor crafts content and can make the idea shine at any length. He/She will work closely with the creative teams, playing a lead role in crafting the stories we want to tell. The Lead Editor reports to the Executive Creative Director.


  • Take a brief to grasp the creative team’s needs and specifications, while collaborating with the creative team on the best way to make their idea even better;
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects;
  • Create rough and final cuts;
  • Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running;
  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience;
  • Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process;
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency;
  • Is able to mentor and lead both assistant editors and more junior editors;
  • Be resourceful, quick, and able to collaborate at all levels;
  • Build trust-based relationships with clients and colleagues;
  • Follow the progression of your projects.


  • Understanding of post-production stages;
  • 5 years minimum of experience in a professional context (required demo);
  • Mastering of Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro CC;
  • Knowledge of Avid Media Composer is a bonus;
  • Knowledge of Da Vinci Resolve and After Effect CC, an asset;
  • Knowledge of different video codecs;
  • General knowledge of video post-production and Film;
  • Technical knowledge of postproduction equipment (camera, direction, audio, patch);
  • General knowledge of the various cameras on the market, an asset;
  • Offline and some online editing skills;
  • Attention to detail for both the creative and technical aspects;
  • Fluent in English.
