CBI is looking for a creative and energetic digital storyteller with expertise in both content creation and social media. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Digital Communications, the Digital Content Specialist will be responsible for engaging our external B2B and B2C audiences and increasing brand awareness online. An integral part of the role will be driving efficiencies on a national scale to streamline and create consistent messaging across the network. The successful candidate will have a track record for producing compelling content and thrives in a creative, fun and fast-paced digital environment.

Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day

  • Collaborate and support communications team managers with curation of digital content
  • Work with subject matter experts and other leaders across the network in the creation of compelling digital content
  • Contribute expertise to creative brainstorming and concept development sessions, generating creative ideas to help increase digital channel performance and engagement
  • Ensure all requests are consistent with brand standards and streamlined across the business
  • Produce content and stories about our brands and locations.
  • Create and manage digital content for external audiences including web content, blog posts, social advertising (i.e. Facebook ads), social media posts, SEM content, video scripts, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors such as videographers, photographers, etc.
  • Perform product-specific SEO research, including discovery and expansion of keyword opportunities, to optimize digital content and campaign performance
  • Write, proofread, edit, ghostwrite all digital content
  • Manage French translation of content as needed
  • Plan and implement digital content campaigns which drive engagement, brand awareness and increase audience reach
  • Develop digital content strategies and publishing calendars to support corporate objectives
  • Build channel guidelines and ensure best practices and protocols are implemented
  • Analyze ROI and effectiveness of social campaigns and deliver comprehensive reporting on performance and trends, making recommendations for improvements
  • Undertake daily monitoring of activity via digital channels; Monitor feedback, track analytics, generate insightful reports

Here’s what you’ll need to be successful

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a corporate setting
  • Marketing Communications Degree/Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience managing social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter)
  • Experience using social media publishing platforms (Hootsuite or similar)
  • Experience with video content or video production an asset
  • Experience with website content an asset
  • Attention to detail, interpersonal skills, collaborative mindset, excellent verbal and written communication and must be a team player
