The Videographer will report directly to the Marketing Manager

SUMMARY: The Videographer is responsible for the design and production of video content in line with the CEO’s vision and through collaboration with the Marketing Team. Photographic contribution as needed in support of product or personnel.


  • Plan, set-up, and shoot video or photography projects.
  • Interprets the CEO’s vision by utilizing storyboards as a visual representation and road-map for all video projects prior to filming.
  • Direct camera angles and lighting to be used in the storyboard presentation.
  • Understands and interprets requirements from the film/advertising concept.
  • Writes, reviews, and edits scripts and determines the best method for producing video from the script.
  • Collaborates with subject matter consultants and training staff to evaluate and plan productions.
  • Ensures lighting positions, sound enhancement, and proper recording equipment are in place to capture the best images in a variety of locations.
  • Records footage for staged and unscripted scenes.
  • Cuts and edits images to remove bad or extraneous footage, to add effects such as graphics or transitions, and to create a professional video product.
  • Operates equipment including cameras when applicable, editing console, time base correctors, audio board, and video switcher.
  • Recommends equipment purchases, upgrades, or replacements.
  • Modifies or designs equipment and systems to meet production requirements.
  • Possesses a strong breadth of weapons knowledge.
  • Oversees A/V inventory and orders supplies.
  • Maintains, repairs, services, and installs basic video production equipment.
  • Creatively photographs subjects utilizing light, colors, and shadows to better complement.
  • Photographs new personnel to create photo badges and in support of human resources.
  • Able to multitask, managing multiple assignments over long periods, and meet all established deadlines.
  • Support the organization as needed outside of Videography or Photography tasks, such as preparing and/or participating in tradeshows or company events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and three years’ experience; or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience working as an in-house designer as opposed to an outside vendor.
  • Familiarity with firearms required.


  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals and legal documents.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries from regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups and/or board of directors.
  • Must be able to communicate in English.


  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.


  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Travel to, and working on location may require long hours, sometimes overnight. The physical demands include, but are not limited to, transporting equipment, such as video and camera equipment, as well as weapons, ammunition and product.

This job primarily operates in a clerical, office setting, however there are times when the job will require offsite travel, for example to photo shoots, gun ranges, tradeshows, and other destinations as required to fulfill the role.

While in an office setting, this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, digital camera and fax machines.

You may find yourself working at a gun range, or on an abandoned ship, or at a ranch in eastern Washington – or somewhere we just haven’t thought of yet. Each location comes with its own challenges and you must be prepared to work under various environmental conditions. Conditions may include, but are not limited to: rain, snow, mud, dust, direct sun, arid desert environments, working at night, and hours of limited visibility using night vision equipment.
