Q13 KCPQ and JOEtv KZJO the Fox duopoly in Seattle WA h as an excellent opportunity for a multi-talented Executive Producer. Applicants must have strong editorial judgement and fully understand how to grow audience across all our platforms. This position requires leadership, creativity, solid decision making skills and the ability to work well in a dynamic newsroom environment. This Executive producer will lead the effort to develop non-traditional news, sports, weather and digital content. This position will also look for opportunities to create programming, strategically designed to pinpoint areas of opportunity and interest to help us garner ratings and new users. This requires someone who will lead a content revolution in a dynamic and intelligent way with distinctive style. Bring on your creative genius! Candidates must have social media experience and leadership in the digital content areas. Candidate should have a strong knowledge of sports and have ideas of how to grow our partnerships with area teams.
This opportunity will include conceptualizing news and sports programs for all platforms with the ability to create and produce content both live and pre-produced. Must have ability to gather remote and live content via interviews, field calls from viewers, booth live newscasts and direct talent performance. Produces and contributes daily news and sports talk programming. Lead and contributes to the digital content to support the on air content. Participates in hiring and coordination of new producers. Work directly with sales and marketing in maintaining brand integrity.
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or Communications preferred. Minimum 5 years working in a radio/television newsroom. Candidate must be able to work flexible hours; early mornings, late nights, weekends and holidays may be required.
