About the Team

The Crunchyroll Store team is dedicated to super serving anime fans by offering the best selection of merchandise, seamless UX and outstanding customer service. Team values: Integrity, Humility, Hard Working, Generosity and Fun!

The role will expose the employee to all facets of operating a small business from the ground up including sales, marketing, product development, logistics, and more. You should have high standards, excellent communication skills, take initiative, project manage and prioritize daily tasks.

Please note this is a 3 month contract to hire position.

Location: San Francisco

Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional specialists assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll and VRV’s passionate communities.

About You:

  • 6+ years of buying experience in an eCommerce or retail business
  • Strong written, oral communication and negotiation skills, proficient MS Word and Excel
  • Self-starter who takes ownership and initiative and can excel in a fast-paced, high growth, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proactive thinker with the ability to focus on meeting larger business goals
  • Balance urgent and effective action, dedication to excellence, and take initiative to resolve problems and work quality
  • Ability to work with limited resources and willingness to be involved in many aspects of a growing company
  • Genuine interest/passion for anime and pop culture!
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience

A day in the life of our eCommerce Manager, Hard Goods:

  • Lead the open-to-buy process/lifecycle hard goods (figures, toys, DVD’s) by initiating analysis and presenting strategies to drive sound business decisions
  • Work closely with cross-functional partners in Planning, Creative, Marketing, Operations, Site Merchandising, and Customer Experience to drive business decisions
  • Identify future business risks and opportunities; develop and implement replacement and growth strategies
  • Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and make recommendations for process improvements
  • Develop seasonal strategies and work with vendor partners, Licensing and Marketing to execute in season product assortments.
  • Anticipate problems and come up with solutions to positively impact the business; reconcile receipts weekly to ensure PO’s arrive on time and have booked accurately
  • Ensure products are live on our website in a timely manner through collaboration with Site Merchandising and Creative
