programming. Affiliated with MY Network TV and Buzzr, WHVL-TV

provides an exciting new mix of new network shows, syndicated favorites

along with locally produced community based programming

SUMMARY

WHVL-TV is seeking to add the next great production professional to our

team as a Full Time Production Assistant/Possible On-Air Talent within the

Creative Services Department. This position is perfect for someone who

thrives on a variety of job duties: commercial productions, live productions,

usage of social media and the chance to be on-air. If you’ve been looking

to get your foot in the door, this may be the perfect fit for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Work closely with the Creative Services Director and the sales staff to

write, produce, and edit local commercials.

Create materials (video, print, digital) for WHVL-TV’s promotional

campaigns.

Possibility of hosting WHVL-TV’s lifestyle show.

Work on all live and studio productions (community programming and

sports) in a variety of positions both during the week and at times

weekends.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

A degree in television production, journalism, or communications

media is desired.

Proven ability to take ideas from creation and through execution.

Ability to not only work in a team environment but be self-motivated to

work independently on projects when needed.

Proficiency operating broadcast television cameras, preferably JVC.

Working knowledge of non-linear editing suites (Adobe Premiere and

Final Cut Pro).

The ability to use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects) to

produce graphics and promotional materials.

Working knowledge of Chyron systems is preferred.

Must have experience working with social media platforms and live

streaming experience.

A desire to not only work behind the camera but at times step in front.
