As a VP-Original Series, you will support the creation of each project’s schedule, budget, production pathways, overall plans and procuring a wide range of original content from content creators, independent production companies / producers, and talent agencies. This role is pivotal in supporting the timely, efficient and accurate creation, completion and delivery of a range of varied projects and tasks within the company. You will be required to be a reliable precise conduit for information, to ensure its flow, through continual liaison between the Production department and the CEO.
You will be closely involved in the planning and scheduling of a varied range of projects and tasks working within a multi-disciplined team. The ability to clearly communicate tasks, goals, priorities and deadlines to the production team while motivating the team will be essential, as will the ability to proactively trouble shoot and feedback openly and transparently.
The VP-Original Series will be responsible for accurately recording, tracking and reporting on the progress of projects, with great attention to detail. An element of this role will be client facing, so clear, accurate communication and diplomacy are key.
Responsibilities are including the below, but not limited to:
Implementation of the creative strategy as defined by the production team to find diverse and compelling content for Emagine Content to produce.
Develop & overseeing the pre-production and production of TV Projects.
All other post-production requirements of the TV Projects.
Develop and maintain relationships with talent (producers, agencies, writers, actors) and working with these talents to start a working business relationship.
Catalyze new television show ideas/concepts and screen pitches from outside producers or writers.
Interface with studio and production executives on pilot and series production issues.
Support the Production Department in the planning, smooth running and completion of projects and assist with day to day and general tasks within the department.
Assisting Producers through methodically and accurately sourcing, collating, distributing and tracking all information, data, materials and assets relating to creative and technical projects, pitches and various tasks within the production company.
Use critical thinking and crisis management resolution with studios and outside producers on all development, production and programming issues.
Oversee special projects and duties as necessary.
Lead and mentor more junior executives & development coordinators.
Perform tasks and other services that are reasonably required by Company, specifically the CEO, SVP or VP of Production & Development and are usually customarily performed by Contractors in the television and motion picture film industry.
