  • Photographs all still life photography for ecomm and social media in Skip Hop’s in-house studio. (Lighting, advanced styling, capturing, and processing images for both hard and soft goods)
  • Assists with lifestyle photoshoot production, including booking crew, equipment, stylists, wranglers, and studios, delivers call sheets and coordinate messenger services to send product
  • Processes all raw images from photoshoots (both still life and on figure shoots) using Capture One and manages photo retouching (markups), handles minor in-house retouching needs as needed
  • Coordinates with product developers and designers to ensure that images reflect the actual quality and color of products.
  • Photo editing, naming, cropping, and asset management of all photography and video, including resizing and archiving an assortment of image types for both print and web.
  • Manages photo DAM and in-house image servers. Setting up and managing accounts for distributors and retailers.
  • Maintains studio, equipment, computers, and supplies
  • Photographs company events, store displays, trade shows, corporate group photos, and headshots
  • Films internal demo videos as needed.
  • Supports Creative Director with administrative tasks. (Expenses, forecasting and actualizing budgets, coding and processing invoices, department errands, etc
  • Communicate with vendors as needed
  • Assist with other projects as assigned

Required Experience:

  • Still life photography, studio lighting, and styling skills
  • Experience as an in-house photographer preferred
  • Fluency with Capture One and ChronoSync
  • Fluency with monitor color calibration
  • Fluency with Photoshop and Photoshop Scripts, Adobe Bridge
  • Fluency in InDesign a plus
  • Experience producing and/or editing video content preferred
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and collaborate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in photography
  • 5+ years of experience working in the photography industry—in house photographer, digital technician, photo editor, production assistant, and/or in a magazine or ecommerce photo department
  • Normal office environment with limited travel
  • Role is based in our NY Skip Hop Office
  • Packing up product/equipment for offsite shoots
