The Associate Director for Access and Administrative Operations provides critical vision and leadership to the foundational work which underpins the day-to-day running of LPA and creating successful visitor experiences. The role encompasses two major responsibilities: first, in leading access services involving circulation and research activities, including management of supervisors in circulation as well as print and audiovisual research access services. Second, in steering administrative operations at LPA, including serving as chief liaison and leader on building matters related to HR, Finance, Legal, and beyond, overseeing LPA’s budget, and resolving issues related to facilities, human resources, and beyond.
Working closely with key partners from across the Library, the Associate Director collaborates in the design, monitoring, analysis and optimization of the human and technical systems and attendant workflows that facilitate the safe operations and access of our collections. Along with the Associate Directors for Research & Collections and Exhibitions & Public Program Administration, this individual is part of LPA’s senior management team reporting to the Director, Research & Administrative Operations for LPA.
