Long Island University is seeking applications for the position of Assistant Director of Multimedia. Responsibilities will include creating visual content to promote LIU Athletics on new media outlets, while also creating game day content, video highlights, feature videos, and more. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to aiding with live streaming of home events, assisting with graphic design work, creating and implementing social media strategies, and creating athletic publications. The successful candidate will also possess strong proficiency in graphic design and will work with the Associate Athletic Director with the objective of enhancing the athletic department’s presence on digital and social platforms.

Candidates should possess the following:

A bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Visual Arts, TV/Film, or similar area of study, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience working in a collegiate athletic department or conference office

Ability to work in a fast paced, detailed and deadline-oriented environment

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

Expertise in the Adobe Suite, including but not limited to, Premiere, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Effects

LIU is located in Brookville and Brooklyn, N.Y. This position will be primarily based out of the Brookville (Post) campus.
