Inspiredby the magic of New Orleans and the community-bonding tradition of the second line, we showcase local musicians, dancers, social aid and pleasure clubs, culture bearers, artists, restaurants and more through productions including our signature Jazz Crawl for Charity event.
We are seeking a highly creative, organized, motivated and passionate digital editing intern to help with videos and content for social media, web pages, and marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate is someone eager to work for an upstart company from the ground up and someone who can help visualize and execute the “big picture.” An ability to recognize the growth potential of early-stage business development is a must. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to adapt within the dynamics of a quickly growing business. Candidates should be eager to learn and great communicators.

It is an unpaid position with high potential for internal growth and plenty of work experience in building multimedia design, developing digital marketing campaigns, artist management, and teamwork. The digital editor is responsible for developing and optimizing the content of our website through copywriting, digital asset management, collaboration with the communications and design teams, and SEO analytics.
❖ Oversee development and maintenance of web content including brand messaging and styling, photo and graphic standards, artist profiles, blog articles,and ecommerce. (tutorials to be provided)
❖ Implementation, management and analysis of Search Engine Optimization
(SEO) tools including but not limited to keywords and search phrases
(tutorial to be provided)
❖ Digital asset management (DAM): curating, organizing, and formatting assets to be accessible to team members and ready for collaborative design projects or multi-channel distribution. (_ tutorial will be provided) _
❖ Work with communications team to develop a range of storytelling formats fit for web copy, social captions, long narratives, video graphics, ad designs, and PDF proposals.
❖ Maintain and develop design templates that streamline the production of on-brand media, rich with visual and textual content to stimulate and engage audiences. (tutorial will be provided)
❖ Ensure content standards and quality across all digital media channels and communications campaigns through diligent teamwork.
❖ Build a loyal community around our brand and expand our audience by following social media guidelines to prospect and interact with niche users.
❖ Create content by writing articles, drafting social media messaging, producing videos, designing infographics and photo artwork, and anything else your creativity allows you.

Previous experience and skills within the responsibilities of this particular position are preferred, but more importantly is the ability to buy-in to the big picture of what Jazz Crawl Productions is on a mission to accomplish and find various ways to contribute to the team’s efforts.

❖ Passion for helping others and an interest in the entertainment industry, live music, dance, art, digital media, and/or New Orleans culture.
❖ Basic understanding of HTML, SEO, WordPress and Adobe Creative Design software, and/or an appetite for learning programs and tools through tutorials.
❖ Access to personal computer or laptop, preferably a Mac, and a student or individual subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud suite of design software.
❖ Experience leading teams and managing digital content across multiple platforms including WordPress, social media, and marketing campaigns.
❖ Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite design tools, particularly for image and video organization, formatting, editing, and exporting.
❖ Ability to commit at least 10 hours a week to team tasks and goals from July through December, and an interest in continuing to serve our mission beyond the internship.
❖ High interest in leadership and entrepreneurship to take the reins and advance the ever-growing Jazz Crawl Productions ideas and side projects.
❖ Curiosity about city cultures, artistic histories, untapped talent, and an interest to learn and expand personally through suggested literature and travel.

Tutorials There will be software and systems tutorials to help you learn the skills necessary to execute tasks. Some of the tutorials will be required for you to complete in order to be equipped for your primary responsibilities, while others are encouraged for personal growth and versatility within our teams. All content created during your internship can be used to bring value to your professional reel and school credit can be given upon completion.
