The communication manager will promote and establish Launch Media as an experienced multi-media production company that empowers organizations to be more accomplished communicators by completing the following:

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing and communication plan
  • Maintain an editorial content calendar that supports major goals and objectives
  • Create a monthly newsletter – Mission Brief – with project highlights, actionable insights, and curated industry topics to cultivate a targeted readership and support sales efforts toward lead generation
  • Write weekly blogposts and other marketing materials to fuel content marketing efforts
  • Manage social media platforms and design posts for weekly distribution
  • Support project management & creative development, including writing creative briefs, scripts, interview questions, and other project needs
  • Encourage positive client relationships through outreach efforts and project management support
  • Manage website updates as needed to reflect company voice, branding, and SEO best practices
  • Facilitate internal and external communication efforts, including Slack management
  • Take photos for distribution


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations or relevant field
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, and Hubspot are preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized, excellent time manager
  • Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques

Typical Week:

  • Write two blogposts each week to share on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Share behind the scenes photos or videos from set
  • Share completed projects or company news on social
  • Post content on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Google Business
  • Prepare an agenda for weekly marketing and communications with Exe Producer

General Duties:

  • Reach out to past clients to request feedback or testimonials
  • Go on set with crew when possible to capture BTS pictures and video
  • Manage editorial content calendar
  • Identify advertising opportunities on social media and elsewhere; manage that budget (currently $200/month)
  • Send ad receipts to Accounting at the end of the month in an itemized, dated list
  • Create content for the monthly newsletter, Mission Brief
  • Troubleshoot and manage any issues within Hubspot
  • Add project summaries to the website
  • Offer project support where needed
  • Update HR protocol to support COVID safety and mitigation measures
  • Add new employees or contractors to Slack
  • Prepare an agenda for monthly marketing and communications content meeting with entire team to gather feedback on content
  • Stay up to date on SEO & content marketing best practices
  • Stay up to date on local and national news

Current Ongoing Projects:

  • Develop 2020 email mailing list on Hubspot
  • Develop SOP document
  • Launch 15+1 Year Anniversary event in 2021
  • Client Christmas Gifts
  • Internal Christmas video
  • New reels

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
