Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Assist with the design and execution of two filmmaker lab programs (Emerging Voices and Southern Producers Lab)—including the recruitment and selection of participants and coordination of travel and logistics for labs.
- Help manage the newly-launched Southern Filmmaker Travel Fund, coordinating details of travel opportunities, applications, and deliverables.
- Work in a variety of ways to strengthen relationships between NOFS and the Southern filmmaking community, as well as the NOFF alum community, and alums of NOFS filmmaker labs.
- Oversee panel programming and roundtable programming for the annual New Orleans Film Festival, working to include creatives and industry professionals to create dynamic learning opportunities for participants.
Manage corps of volunteer screeners for the New Orleans Film Festival, assist with submissions processing for the Festival Programming Department, and take part as a Programmer for the festival across multiple categories.
Preferred qualifications include experience with film festivals and film production. Candidates must be willing to reside full-time, year-round in New Orleans, Louisiana.
