Post Support Technician – NBCUniversal – Englewood Cliffs, NJ

The Post Support Tech will perform a variety of operational and technical functions in support of longform and short-form post production. These services will encompass project, media prep, content ingest, delivery tasks, graphic support, finishing editing services as necessary, L1 support for all operational workflows and finishing workflows, media management for post and Avid storage-based workflows, as well as administrative functions for the Post Production Department.

Job Duties:

  • Work with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects and other editing platforms
  • Ability to read audio/video scopes
  • Editorial project prep
  • In depth knowledge and familiarity of network “Brand” look for short-form QC and delivery process
  • Provide L1 support for both remote and local editors, and post production staff
  • Work with Post Management to assess and develop workflows
  • Work with Engineering to properly escalate technical issues
  • Facilitate the finishing process supporting color-correction and audio mix
  • Perform editorial support for post workflows
  • QC short-form assets and move to RFA/delivery hot folders as needed
  • Support our Production MAM, Machine Learning/AI and Cloud Post (remote edit/graphics) workflows
  • Close Caption and Subtitling encoding as necessary for deliverables
  • Media management support for Post workflows
  • Finish renders for snipes, program, and promo graphics
  • Use transcoders and upload to various delivery platforms
  • Archive content
  • Ensure client satisfaction


Basic Qualifications

A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in post-production or knowledge of editing and post processes
Experience working with Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop and Interplay Access and Media Central
Ability to read audio/video scopes
Experienced knowledge of video/audio codecs, file formats, camera formats and resolutions
Knowledgeable in all Microsoft Office applications
