Video Editor (Adobe Premiere) – Arts Laureate – Los Angeles, CA

About the position: IMMEDIATE OPENING. Seasonal full-time or part-time dedicated to editing virtual musical performances for http://virtualchoir.net/ during the holidays. You’ll be creating videos based on submissions from choirs, bands, orchestras, and churches, recorded at their homes on cell phones. We work 9-5ET, M-F as a team on Slack. We edit in Adobe Premiere. The job is fully remote, and you can be anywhere in the US. There is work through the end of the year, and we are currently booking for the spring. We are looking for editors with a musical background.

About the company: Arts Laureate is a media production team focusing on live and session recordings for clients ranging from top-tier professional ensembles to community bands, orchestras, and choirs, as well as opera companies, independent artists, schools, and students. Services include audio recording, video production, photography, streaming, and social media. Arts Laureate is based in the mid-Atlantic region and produces recordings throughout the U.S. Clients have included the Kansas City Symphony, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Virginia Symphony Orchestra, Shepherd School Opera, Choral Arts Society of Washington, Virginia Chorale, the Kennedy Center, and others.

The ideal candidate will be organized, communicative, and have have a passion for acoustic music and classical / choral music. We are all working remote, so your ability to communicate online and stay connected on on-task while working by yourself is of the utmost importance.

Starting salary: $17.50/hr
