This role will directly report to the Director of Operations. This person will need to work calmly and cohesively under high volume, pressure, filmmakers’ expectations, and be flexible and resourceful with last minute requests. Must be extremely detail oriented. They need to be accessible and responsive both in and out of the office. A drive for continuous improvement and a positive, can-do attitude is a must.
Working with multiple teams within Marvel Studios such as Creative Executives and Franchise, as well as with Disney’s marketing creative teams, Domestic and International and their finishing group. They will manage outside vendors from the creation of a working cut to lock, to finishing and fulfillment of content which includes (but not limited to) theatrical trailers, TV spot campaigns, clips pulls for events/screenings and press tours.
Responsible for creating, evaluating and enforcing the studio’s established workflow processes with the various teams at Disney and within Marvel Studios. Monitoring and ensuring a consistent synchrony between creative, VFX, mixes, feature timelines and finishing each piece at hand.
Marketing responsibilities would include managing creative vendors, overseeing the ordering and movement of finishing preps, create and manage schedules on the scheduling tool, assist Creative Services Director in most areas of 2K finishing projects, incoming graphics, updated cuts, shot lists from VFX, mix QTs to the stage, con-checks, MPAA, legal and music clearances, QC and approve DCPs for shipment.
5th Kind savvy – organize and maintain marketing digital assets, provide frontline support, communication, trouble shoot and even provide initial training for any related users of 5th Kind. Set up new user groups, login issues, reset passwords, watermark content for executives upon request, format content per delivery spec as needed.
Additional responsibilities – schedule filmmakers for all approval sessions, meeting invites, support HD finishing team with workflow, logistics, schedules, localization, DCP or QT QCs as needed, assist Creative Services Director with trafficking all incoming requests, taking detailed notes in meetings, schedule stages, theatres, and submit drive-ons for guests.
