I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
Meredith Corp is seeking a Studio Manager for the Los Angeles Brentwood facility. This person will lead day-to-day operations including processing booking requests, scheduling crew and hair and makeup, and will work directly with Producers to develop looks for each brand and show. In addition, they will run camera, lighting, audio, and will work with engineering to ensure the technology and gear is running effectively. This position will report to the Director of Studio Operations.
II. Essential Job Functions
Manage day to day operations of studio, including booking shoots, crews, HMU.
Operate studio based production gear – camera, lighting, audio, playback, tricaster, etc.
Develop and maintain relationships with Creative teams to facilitate the production of a variety of Live, VOD, and other video content.
Work with Engineering team to ensure all technology in studio is updated and running smoothly.
III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
You have achieved a degree in TV, Film, Broadcast Production or Business.
8+ years progressive experience with at least 3 years of crew management in the film or television industry. on television, digital and/ or film production. You excel in situations that require juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Production Technology. You have extensive knowledge of cameras, lenses, audio and lighting and are capable of setting and maintaining studio and engineering equipment.
Communication Skills. You have excellent verbal and written skills and can communicate producer’s desired looks and set ups to crew members in the studio.
Organizational Proficiency. You are extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
