Stage Manager – North Valley, CA

Quixote Studios is one of the nation’s premier film and Television studios that has expanded its business in the North Valley area and is now in need of a full time Stage Manager to join our North Valley Studio Team! The Stage Managerplays an integral part in curating the legendary service that our clients deserve and is part of the support team that promotes our mission to be the preeminent provider of products and services to the entertainment and advertising communities.

Stage Manager duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Be the liaison between Quixote to clients on stage

· Report directly to Operations Manager

· Assist other Stage Managers, Maintenance Team, and Receptionist

· Opening, close, flip and maintain stages

· Oversee and record gear drop-offs, pick-ups, returns, swap-outs, and add-ons

· Assist clients with any ac, heat, lifts, or equipment needs

· Assist with any client or vendor parking needs

· Report and maintain damages to gear, stages, cycs, or other damages

· Responsible for general trash needs on or outside stages

· Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of stages, and exteriors

· Report and deal with emergencies and/or emergency personnel

· Assist in managing gear, facilities, lifts, and other equipment or vehicles

· Driving to make deliveries, drop off or pick up equipment, or other needs

· Fill out stage sheets daily

· Track and maintain grip/production inventory/expendables

· Notify the Manager of any L&D

· Check in/out all assets per company policy

· Basic handyman duties (eg: plunge a toilet)

· Drive equipment such as forklift, scissor lift, or boom

· Maintain all job-related paperwork

· Direct traffic and parking when necessary

· Identify ALL basic light and grip equipment used in the studio

· Hook up basic distro on a stage

· Alter flexible ducting for HVAC when required

· Be available at all times on Walkie to ensure excellent customer service.

· Effectively communicate all pertinent information regarding the facility or production to the Operations Manager, Operations team, and/or Bookings

· Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and studio information

· Lead team to success by embracing Quixote’s Core Values and Service Initiatives

· All other duties as assigned

Working Conditions:

Activities include regularly working in outside weather conditions, exposure to extremes of temperature, visibility, wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. Noise level in work environment is usually loud. Dust, mechanical hazards, moving objects, operating vehicle, and shift work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Requirements are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Heavy work: requires ability to continually lift, push, and pull 50 pounds of product individually

and occasionally in excess of 100 pounds up to 160 pounds of product in a team lift.

  • Physical activities required of this job include, but are not limited to: bending, carrying, climbing, crouching, feeling, finger movement, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, rapid work speed, speaking, reaching, repetitive motions, seeing, sitting, standing, stooping, walking, and walking on irregular surfaces.

Required Experience and Abilities:

· Experience operating and handling equipment

· Ability to effectively communicate with management, clients, and team members

· Ability to work 24/7 and overtime as necessary

· Possess a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record

· High school diploma or equivalent education and related experience

· Ability to perform all duties in a safe manner and in alignment with Company policies and procedures

· Forklift certified

· Safety committee Member
