And our lipstick hasn’t even started drying yet.

BIG PICTURE:
We are looking for a Producer that can bring to life a short cinematic video production from start to finish. The Producer’s job is to help with creative direction on scripts, cast actors, scout locations, organize the logistics and ensure important deadlines are met. All content produced will be inspirational and centered around the beauty industry so having a passion for those 2 genres is a huge plus! The Producer is responsible for overseeing the execution of 2 cinematic shorts per week. The key to success in this role is consistent communication and organization to help ensure that our productions stay on schedule with the highest level of quality.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME:

  • Efficiently manages pre-production processes in order to ensure accurate launch, execution, and completion of all project milestones

  • Coordinates the activities of writers, directors, managers, actors, cinematographers, and other personnel throughout the production process

  • Determines production size, content, and budget establishing details such as production schedules and management policies

  • Continuously evaluates processes and offers creative solutions where there is need for improvement

  • Partakes in meetings with staff to discuss production progress

  • Conceptualizes, scripts, pitches and produces an assortment of videos and media assets related to makeup

  • Reviews videos, recordings, or rehearsals to ensure conformance to production and broadcast standards

  • Composes and edits scripts, or provides screenwriters with story outlines from which scripts can be written

WHAT YOU HAVE:

  • 3+ years of video production experience in the filmmaking industry

  • Passion and/or experience creating content for beauty/makeup

  • Advanced knowledge in Adobe Premiere, Audition, After Effects, and most importantly Photoshop

  • High level of professionalism while working with team members and actors/actresses; you are the face of the brand

  • Adaptability and flexibility with our varying production times

  • Initiative to conceptualize, present and develop visual communication projects

  • Proven ability to produce content for a variety of audience

  • Comprehensive understanding of all production processes for video and photoshoots

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Solution-oriented with the ability to creatively solve problems during shoots

  • Experience leading shoots, and supervising short term productions from SOW to delivery

  • Bonus for a demonstrated mix of documentary and branded content storytelling capabilities

WHO OVERSEES YOU:
You will report directly to the Cinematic Video Manager

WHO YOU OVERSEE:
The Producer does not currently oversee anyone

WHERE IT ALL GOES DOWN:
All things creative take place at our studio in downtown Los Angeles across from the Staples Center

WHEN THE MAGIC HAPPENS:
You must be able to work full-time and open to schedule flexibility as our production times vary
