ITV Studios Daytime creates over six and a half hours of live TV every day. With programmes on air from 6am to 6pm, there’s a constant buzz!
The ITV Studios Daytime slate is filled with Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. The Daytime market is highly competitive and vitally important for both ITV Studios and our network. Most of these programmes run 52 weeks a year and are critical to our share of viewing. Daytime hands the ratings baton over to peak.
It’s an exciting time to be part of our team with all of our big brand programmes having been refreshed with a modern on screen look as well as high editorial aspiration. We bring our viewers the latest breaking news, biggest entertainment stories and exclusives and we have a lot of fun along the way!
The Production Assistant will be part of a team reporting to the Head of PA & Autocue, Directors for each programme, production team and presenters across all of ITV’s live daytime programmes. This role is pivotal in ensuring the programming runs to time, taking into account break restrictions and playing in graphics.
This is a fast paced and busy role that requires previous experience within a live gallery environment, as well as knowledge of live studio performances. As mentioned before, timing is everything, you’ll have to be extremely organised and accurate with timings for all programs, identifying and eradicating any timing issues.
To be successful in this role, you will be an effective communicator, highly organised as well as able to remain calm in a high pressured environment of live television. You must possess excellent IT skills, as well as have knowledge of both INews and Silvermouse and be able to keep a positive approach when faced with an ever changing running order.
