Girlguiding are looking for a pro-active and hands on multimedia project assistant with skills in photography or videography and project management. The role will support the production of high-quality, creative and innovative film and photography content that reflects and promotes Girlguiding’s brand and engages our target audiences. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Commissioning Team of in-house creatives and project managers, within the Marketing and Audience Engagement department.
The post holder will work closely with the multimedia projects officer as well as managing their own projects and tasks, with oversight. The multimedia project assistant will use their skills in photography or videography and project management to create multimedia assets through commissioning photographers/videographers and working with internal stakeholders to ensure briefs are clear and delivered against at shoots. The new multimedia project assistant will attend shoots as a second photographer or videographer and will be required to carry out photo of video editing.
Another key part of the multimedia project assistant role is day-to-day administration of Girlguiding’s digital asset management system. This includes content population and managing requests from colleagues across the organisation in a timely manner. This requires someone with a methodical approach, diligence and excellent attention to detail.
The post holder will work with staff of all levels across the organisation, freelancers and suppliers and Girlguiding members of all ages. They will be able to build effective working relationships across Girlguiding using their excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will prioritise and manage their workload effectively.
Girlguiding values the differences that a diverse workforce brings and is committed to inclusivity, and to employing and supporting a diverse workforce. Girlguiding is proud to be part of the Stonewall Diversity Champions programme, a member of the Business Disability Forum, and a member of Time to Change – improving attitudes towards mental health. While Girlguiding’s young members may be girl only, our staff team is mixed gender. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability (physical or mental), gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion and belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
