Based in our London office, the Finance department is a newly centralised shared services team for EMEA who play a busy and vital role within the VICE Media Group.

Role x You

As our Management Accountant, you will work with the Finance Managers and the UK Controller to assist with cost accruals, prepayments, accrued/deferred revenue associated journals at month end for your entity plus be responsible for intercompany reporting and reconciliations for all UK entities across VICE.


  • Produce the monthly/quarterly management accounts for Paradise Industries Ltd including revenue recognition, P&L variance analysis with commentary and detailed balance sheet reconciliations within deadlines to EMEA Regional Team.

  • Business partner with production teams and directors to understand business needs and be the point of contact for all financial matters for the above entity.

  • Oversee the bank reconciliations for all entities and ensuring all reconciling items are investigated and resolved including VEHL sweeps and accrued sweep interest.

  • Ownership of Intercompany process which includes:

    • Monthly UK intercompany reconciliations being performed, and differences investigated

    • Communicating to all finance the intercompany recharges that are required to be billed each month and ensuring these are cleared in a timely manner

    • Settling Agreed UK Interco Balances

    • Completing monthly Interco P+L and balance sheet Templates for the US

    • Reconcile and settle Interco AR/AP balances among all entities

  • Weekly cash flow submission, liaising with the Accounts Payable and Receivables team

  • Support the UK FC in delivering the year-end audit (Group & Statutory)

  • Development and integration of internal controls, process notes & procedures


  • Newly qualified / part-qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with 3+ years of experience in management accounting and financial analysis (production accounting is a plus)

  • Experienced gained within a busy and fluid media / creative environment would be preferable

  • You will have experience in business partnering and communicate with finance & non-finance stakeholders effectively and articulately for all International regions

  • Strong system and Excel skills

  • You will need to be highly organised, detail oriented and meticulous

  • Proven experience of working to tight deadlines; working effectively under pressure

  • Capable of working independently without being micro-managed. A team player with a proactive and enthusiastic approach who takes initiative where needed

  • NetSuite/Salesforce/Concur experience highly desired
