The Team:
We are News Licensing, the content licensing team for News UK’s newspaper titles and supplements. We represent our own staff and freelance photographers and writers, licensing their material for commercial use to clients around the world. Our clients include newspaper & magazine publishers, TV & film production companies, book publishers, educational establishments and corporates.


Your Role:
you will be responsible for providing operational support to the sales team. They will identify content that is available for licensing and produce daily mailshots to market this to our clients. They will also be responsible for licensing logos and trademarks to businesses which form part of our Corporate Awards scheme which includes The Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For, Style Beauty Awards and The Times Top 50 Employers for Women Awards.


Day to day you will:

  • Liaise with the Editorial teams and the Content Operations team to ensure licensing rights are cleared and all content is uploaded onto the relevant websites.

  • Coordinate and deliver content to clients and prepare mailshots promoting News UK content.

  • Manage all News Licensing Digital Asset Management platforms including the categorisation and curation of content.

  • Manage the corporate awards websites and create new award sites when required, and license the logo in relation to the various corporate awards that appear within our newspaper titles throughout the year.

  • Support the department in their marketing requirements, including updating social media and briefing designers on the creation of marketing trade show collateral.

  • Liaise with contributors, issue licensing contract agreements when required, and update any legal restrictions on all licensing platforms, issuing instructions to third parties in possession of our content.

What we’re looking for from you:

  • You have previous licensing experience, or have worked for a media company

  • You have excellent time management, organisation and prioritising skills

  • You are commercially-focused

  • You have strong attention to detail
