Part of the HENI group since 2016, Prudence Cuming was established in 1967 as a photographic studio specialising in fine art. Prudence Cuming work with museums, institutions, artists, designers and private collectors, and have a wealth of experience photographing objects ranging from paintings to sculpture and luxury goods. Prudence Cuming provide a complete and bespoke photographic service, including photography, filming, retouching, scanning and digital printing, working from their studio in Mayfair, London or on location.

We are now looking for someone who is an adept videographer and experienced drone flyer to join the business to add a brand-new service area for our clients.

The job:

  • Plan and capture drone footage of artworks indoors and outdoors
  • Responsible for the legal planning, approval and operation of commercial drone flights.
  • Deliver high quality, professional footage per request for use in a commercial and social environment.
  • Work with producers, editors and still / mobile camera operators to capture and create high quality cinema like experiences.

The Person:

  • PfCO or equivalent is a must
  • Be able to carry out Safety and Risk Mitigation processes and procedures
  • Demonstrate the ability to fly safely within the confines of enclosed spaces and proximity of people and animals
  • Understanding of and the ability to demonstrate the manoeuvres and flight procedures for standard camera movements (pan, tilt, follow, POI)
  • Ability to fly manually in ATTI mode to a safe level
  • Understanding of the editing procedure and how storyboarding helps plan a flight for scenes
  • Excellent technical understanding of videography
  • Ability to utilise DaVinci Resolve for team video editing
  • Understand the aspects of colour grading and the tools used to apply this
  • Understand the capturing of ambient sounds with external recording devices
  • Comfortable and Confident at flying indoors with precision and skill to capture smooth, high quality video whilst tracking a subject

This person will have the ability to work alone or alongside a team of professional videographers and photographers in the planning, capturing, direction, production and postproduction aspects of motion capture. Their ability to contribute at all levels within cinematography is a key part to becoming a successful candidate.
