This advertisement is for a OPS position located at Central Office in the Bureau of Public Affairs – Audio/Video.

Salary Rate: $18.59 Per Hour

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The applicant in this position is expected to understand a wide range of broadcast television and internet delivery standards.

  • He/she must understand the industry process for developing and producing various types of video programming. These include, but are not limited to training videos, public services announcements, documentary programming and internet video content and Social Media.
  • Strong background in script writing, videography, non-linear editing as wel1 as the tools and equipment needed to perform these duties;
  • Various knowledge and methods for mass distribution are required;
  • Duties will also include traveling when there is a need;
  • Serves as support for Leadership;

This requires the incumbent to support various audio and video events around the state from time to time to ensure a high quality training experience for staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Expertise with television broadcast programs and equipment including but not limited to: Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere (Non-Linear Editing), Adobe CC, Motion (Motion Graphics), DVD Studio (DVD Creation), Compressor or other Video Compression software, Cleaner 6.5, Photoshop, PowerPoint, creation and duplication of DVS’s.
  • Knowledge of various production camera equipment including by not limited to Sony, Panasonic, JVC, and/or GoPro;
  • Strong understanding of still photography.
  • Expert understanding of lighting techniques for video and still production.
  • Understanding of the technical needs in order to deliver content to various Social Media platforms.
  • Resume reel and copy of script writing abilities will be requested at a further time from select applicants.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Up to a BS degree but work history and proven skill set can be substituted
