Chicago Scene Magazine is a multimedia publication that leverages events, print, digital, and social media for local Chicago businesses at an amazingly intimate, hyper-local level. Our followers are educated, urban-dwelling, socially-active “cultural explorers” 21-49 years of age. We engage them with exciting neighborhood-specific content in the areas of fashion, nightlife, dining, fitness, and lifestyle. We are partnered with Vamonde, which is a multi-channel network which connects local storytellers with cultural tourists through hyper-local adventures.
Chicago Scene is in search of high-energy and professional on-camera reporters for upcoming events we will be filming. From restaurant openings to fashion shows and more, Chicago Scene covers the very best & brightest that Chicago has to offer.
-Attend and cover events
-Assist film crew
The Ideal Candidate:
-BA in Journalism/Communications or studying for it
-Has great presentation, physically and verbally.
-Likes to engage at events.
-Feels comfortable on-camera.
-Works well with a filming crew.
-Takes direction well.
This is a non-paid internship opportunity, with potential growth with the organization. We will give you school credit. This is also a great opportunity to strengthen your portfolio with diverse media coverage.
