General Job Description:
WCIU-TV, The U gives Chicago a fresh new start to the day with The Jam TV show. Our station’s morning show airs weekdays 6am-8am. Bold and unfiltered, the program features a combination of local and national headlines, unique weather coverage and dedication to the Chicagoans who make the city and surrounding suburbs great. The Jam is in need of a Line Producer, with a strong live TV background and excellent judgment, who is looking for the unique opportunity to be part of our team.
This position will include the creation of extensive daily elements built around local and national news, celebrity, comedy, and lifestyle programming.
The successful candidate will have a passion to create something completely new and an undying work ethic.
Work with the Supervising Producer to form the shows rundowns on a daily basis.
Other duties, as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
At least 5 years of previous live television line producing experience.
Top 20 Market experience.
Demonstrate the ability to work with on-air talent, production teams, sponsors and even animals.
Highly organized with strong writing and people skills are a must.
Experience with editing software is a plus.
Flexible work schedule required.
