Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Web Production & Operations reports to the Senior Director of Web & E-Commerce, overseeing the Web Production department at both a strategic and operational level. This role will lead the planning and execution of online initiatives on Avid.com from conception through final delivery. This is a high-visibility Senior role at Avid and requires superior organization, team management, budgeting and professional communication skills. This position is based in Avid’s corporate headquarters in Burlington, MA.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Partner with key Avid department leaders globally and locally to create best-in-class online presentation
  • Work with external parties & technologies to manage, implement and drive global website initiatives and digital marketing programs
  • Accountable for quality assurance of Avid.com global domains and, managing the web experience across multiple countries and languages, including oversight of language translations.
  • Conceive and manage website deliverables related to product launches, webinars, promotions, events, press releases, demand generation content and general ongoing content updates.
  • Communicates and educates about online capabilities (technical and front-end) within Avid.com via detailed requirements documents, use cases, and other web development materials.
  • Works with internal and external creative designers on mock-ups as needed
  • Posts, tests and deploys customer-facing content experiences, ensuring quality and bug-free execution.
  • Updates content created by dedicated developers where needed
  • Tackles complex and often technical problems with a strategic mindset and creates thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving those problems.
  • Performs UAT exercises and identifies, reproduces, troubleshoots and prioritizes bugs
  • Work with direct report to manage technology, headcount and budget for Avid.com
  • Manages, inspires and leads a team of three Web Producers and one Web Marketing Project Manager
  • Attends daily standup meetings with IT team, prioritizing open tickets and performing grooming on a regular basis

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience with Sitecore CMS platform and how to best utilize its features and functionality
  • Driven by data, with a broad understanding of digital marketing strategies and tactics as well as demand generation campaigns and the ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of workplace productivity platforms (Workfront a plus)
  • Experience and knowledge managing backlogs, setting up Epics, Stories, Spikes and other elements of JIRA
  • Demonstrated budgeting experience and practical management of budget on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to actively manage and prioritize multiple web-based projects, work under tight deadlines while consistently delivering quality results.
  • Passion and knowledge focused on UX and UI best practices are a major, major plus (certificates and courses even better)
  • Proven experience leading and motivating teams
  • Stays in touch with online trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

  • At least a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Programming, Business Administration or relevant field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years leading a web production team for a global corporation
  • Ability to work occasional night or weekend hours during major events or product reveals to coordinate timing of press releases online, launch product, live streams, etc
  • Experience with team-based productivity platforms (Microsoft Teams)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
  • A never-ending desire to learn what makes people tick online
  • Passionate about movies, TV, music and entertainment
