Job Description:

Under the direction of the assistant director of marketing and communications, the project coordinator will manage the production of development-related marketing and communications projects, planning, organizing, monitoring and documenting team activities to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specification.

Job Details:

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production calendar for marketing and communications projects that support the University Development Office.
  • Assist in project intake, definition of project scope and determination of objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress for clients and team members.
  • Coordinate with internal and/or external designers, photographers, printers, videographers and other vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with development communications and marketing team members on editorial calendar for various development publications.
  • Manage process for working with external vendors including scoping projects, hiring, contracting, and coordinating payment for services.
  • Assist team with administrative tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Two years of professional experience in communications, product/project management, and/or writing and editing publications. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to prioritize, manage and organize multiple projects that meet deadlines and budget. Highly detail-oriented. Proven ability to write clear, concise, accurate and compelling content. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Google applications and project management software. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Three or more years’ experience managing marketing and communications projects, especially in a university or nonprofit setting. Experience writing and/or coordinating communications for donors. Proficiency with InDesign and light production design.

Salary Range

$45,000 + depending on qualifications
