GIDDY is looking for a Motion Graphics Artist / 3D Animator to join our talented Video department in Austin, TX. This role is critical to driving our video storytelling strategy and will edit inspiring stories, ads and campaigns that elevate the Giddy brand & products. As Motion Graphics Artist / 3D Animator, you will help set the motion or animation direction for our video content across various marketing channels. This will include crafting content to be used within YouTube, social, product content and advertising. You will work closely with Video Directors and Art Director to create compelling motion content through 2D and 3D applications to amplify and elevate our ideas, and will demonstrate your attention to detail and problem-solving skills by creating and delivering animations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years experience working in a post environment for a production company, agency or client-side
Bachelor’s degree in a broadcast, film or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience creating original 2D/3D animation and knowledge of animation programs
An online portfolio or reel of motion design work demonstrating a creative sensibility, an ability to tell engaging stories, showcasing the technical skills to craft flawless content
Key frame animation and motion capture animation for a variety of 2D/3D content
Assist with research and development of animation tools and software for position
Conceptualize scripts and convert them to storyboards
Strong understanding of aesthetics in design, layout, typography and color
Knowledge of AR/VR, audio recording/mixing & video production is a plus
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
* Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor and evaluate all incoming requests; manage multiple projects at various stages; proactively manage workload and deadlines
Work within existing brand guidelines, graphics, illustrations, and assets to create stunning visuals that align with our brand standards but also elevate our brand in an innovative way
Edit and deliver assigned in-house animation projects following established protocols in file management structure, project organization, and version control.
Maintain comprehensive database of graphics (lower thirds, department logos, etc.)
Work closely with Video Directors and Art Director to sculpt an animation/motion graphics that cultivates your skills
Strong understanding of best practices for proper animation workflows
Be eager to receive constructive critique and adjust deliverables accordingly
Ensure we meet legal requirements with scripting in the edit
Block movements in rough animation, refine and polish to completion in final animation
Self-starter and ability to work under pressure without compromising performance or accuracy
Knowledge of the latest motion graphic, design, 3D and experiential trends.
Willingness to think ‘outside the box’ and try new concepts
Capable of handling and organizing multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of AR/VR, audio recording/mixing & video production is a plus.
Green screen experience a plus
Raise aesthetic levels by leveraging a strong creative eye and acute attention to detail.
Displays an understanding of the technical parameters in regard to capabilities and time constraints and can look ahead to forecast potential technical, production or schedule issues and recommend solutions.

Pushes creative and technical boundaries, by seeking out new innovations in equipment, software, and techniques.
Evaluates all work against department standards with Video Directors and Senior Graphic Designer.
