HBCU Gameday

HBCU Gameday LLC is an online platform that covers sports and culture surrounding Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Starting in September we will debut our new television show “The No Huddle,” a thirty-minute program that previews the games of the day for HBCU Football. The show will air on national cable television.

We are currently seeking contributors who are able to shoot video highlights of games and produce a package within 36 hours of the game’s conclusion. Candidates with the ability to one-man-band and appear on camera will be considered for a correspondent’s role. Anyone who desires to be just a shooter is equally as valuable as well. Please respond to this ad with a link to your sizzle reel or work examples.

HBCU Gameday will provide all credential requests for games that you might be working. Candidates will have to provide their own equipment. Your gear must be capable of shooting a game with a servo zoom style. DSLR style shooting isn’t preferred unless you can show that you’ve mastered the style of following the action. The ability to shoot post-game interviews with an external mic is a requirement as well.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone with an emotional connection to HBCUs who would like to contribute their talents to professional coverage of black college football. Another ideal candidate would be someone who shoots other styles of content and would like an opportunity to shoot sports. We are not opposed to connecting with people who are still developing as shooters and looking for real-world experience.

We are currently in a position to offer a $100 stipend per game for a select group of ideal candidates. We are also interested in taking on a group of volunteers to help develop their skills. Let’s connect and talk.
