We are looking for a visionary storyteller that can work hand in hand with clients to translate their marketing message into a compelling and relevant story that will connect with the target audience. We are on the lookout for the interviewer that can get straight to the heart of the matter. We want that person who feels like a million bucks when completing a piece ahead of schedule and underbudget. We value leaders that love to communicate and partner with clients, but also inspire and motivate a team.

We need a senior manager/video producer that will help us bring solutions to our clients in a positive and collaborative way. You could be creating and executing breakthrough video concepts that move the needle in a wide range of areas – from employment branding and automotive marketing to new spaces where Cox is investing like cleantech, healthcare and e-sports.


What you’ll do

While this position requires keeping a lot of metaphoric plates in the air, we’re looking for someone who can stay calm, cool and collected with the support of a tight-knit team. Specifically, you’ll…
  • Work with our Creative Directors and clients to guide concepting, production, shooting and editing of video to reach people inside and outside of the company
  • Inspire and lead a team, encouraging and growing storytelling acumen and collaboration, while establishing trust and camaraderie with peers
  • Supervise freelance and contract talent and maintain relationships with external vendors and production companies for video projects that we can’t take on internally
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication, as well as time management skills
  • Work side by side with a project manager to coordinate and manage the large amounts of work that flows through the department, track projects, manage deliverables and adhere to schedules and deadlines
  • Keep up to date with the most cutting-edge storytelling techniques and approaches while understanding the latest technologies and equipment to enable productive conversations within the team and allow us to bring them to life in the most efficient manner
  • Listen well and collaborate closely with clients to distill salient messaging, while identifying and determining appropriate supporting b-roll and graphics
  • Possess strong interviewing skills
  • Produce content, oversee shoots and edits, and create videos in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Pre-production skills must include creative concepting, simple storyboarding, scripting, production scheduling, budgeting, asset organizing
  • Post-production skills must include discerning compelling content and story arcs, identifying amazing music tracks, an eye for graphic composition; as well as budget reconciliation, file delivery and file management
  • Ensure all content is consistent with brand strategy and guidelines, while advising on appropriate formats and channels for distributing the work
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively work on multiple assignments, activities or projects as required, while maintaining the bandwidth to guide the team
  • Proactively focus on key client relationships and maintain an easy to work with and flexible demeanor
  • Inspire creativity in co-workers and peers, while helping to identify new styles of video, graphics and animation by identifying trends in television, motion pictures and internet
  • See eye to eye with the team on the components of compelling video…from concept and storytelling to lighting and editing styles
  • Continuously push the boundaries of creative video production and storytelling across all business units
  • Conceptualize a vision and be able to employ the necessary communication skills and vocabulary to confidently present that to internal and external teams
  • Communicate and interact professionally with senior leaders
  • Take a few risks (within reason!), fail fast and learn from your mistakes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Video, Marketing, Communications, Business, Design or related field
  • 5+ years of progressively-complex video production experience, specifically in the areas of producing, supervising, shooting and editing
  • Exceptional customer service and project management skills as well as impeccable engagement, follow-through and adaptability; detail and results-oriented with a collaborative mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and executive presence
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Mac OS Systems
  • Familiarity with online marketing platforms and social media
  • Demonstrable experience working with internal or external creative teams


Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in the Adobe suite of products, including Premiere, AfterEffects and Photoshop
  • Marketing experience
  • Experience running medium-to-large scale projects in a matrixed environment
  • Experience in any of the following industries: automotive, telecom, cleantech, healthcare and/or esports
  • A good sense of humor with the ability to handle stress in stride
