Your Opportunity:
We’re looking for a self-driven web designer who is comfortable working in an omni-channel world. To be successful in this role you’ll need to be adaptable, a team player, and comfortable taking on a range of projects. As a designer on the digital marketing team, you will spend most of your time conceptualizing and executing design for marketing campaigns and building content for the web. You’ll work with an innovative team of writers, designers, developers, videographers, and photographers who tackle problems and come up with user-focused marketing solutions. We’re an in-house agency with an international audience that values big ideas and great work.

Pay range: $20 – $28.00 hourly

What You’ll Do:

  • Design landing pages, email blasts, digital ads, and websites.
  • Produce emails, banners and website designs using HTML5, CSS3.
  • Use design thinking and an understanding of branding to create a seamless customer experience across platforms.
  • Create in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and InDesign.
  • Design publication ads, brochures, and catalog layouts.
  • Design digital ads for Rio Grande’s social media platforms.
  • Show off your mastery of layout principles, aesthetic, design concepts and typography.

What You’ll Need:

  • 3 years of web design experience. Experience writing HTML5 and CSS3 to most current standards.
  • Proven skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator).
  • Flexibility in juggling a variety of projects and experience in an Agile project management environment.
  • Organized and deadline-driven work ethic.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of change.
  • Strong grasp of design principles and design thinking.
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work in a participative management culture.

Additional experience in these areas is helpful:

  • Bootstrap, SASS, JavaScript and jQuery.
  • UX training & experience a plus.
  • Sitecore, WordPress or equivalent CMS.
  • Knowledge or experience building email marketing automation.
  • Degree in web design or closely related field.
  • Experience in interactive web design, user interaction and animation for web.
  • Presenting a printed or a digital portfolio is required.
