The Payroll Coordinator processes payroll for assigned shows and is the point of contact for the client in aspects of payroll processing. The Lead Payroll Coordinator is expected to proficiently demonstrate payroll processing ability in all US related payrolls, union and non-union. Extensive knowledge of the Area Standards I.A.T.S.E. and Teamsters Local #492 contracts as well as a good working knowledge of the Hollywood IA (distant location), guilds and Teamster Local #399 contract, both TV and Theatrical, are necessary and must be demonstrated.
Process in-coming payroll, which includes breaking of timecards in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Collective Bargaining Agreements.
Accountable and responsible for quality service in assisting and servicing clients in regards to payroll production, tax-related issues, answering pertinent questions, and problem-solving in compliance with company policy and procedure.
Proficient knowledge and utilization of payroll database system. Should be familiar with applicable programs: invoice, batch, timecard editor; and reports: timecard verification, fringe, payroll history, cast list, gross wages.
Proficient in verifying rates and deal points for all Industry employees prior to entering in the system.
Proficient in verifying I9 forms and entering new employees and their start forms in the payroll system.
Proficient in keying timecards into the payroll system & verifying timecards that have been entered into the payroll system.
Have a good working knowledge of Tax Incentives (rules & regulations) for NM with the codings necessary to meet the client’s needs.
Proficient in Home Plan letters, knowledge when they are needed etc.
Have good working knowledge in the shows/unions of other C&C offices so as to be prepared to step in and help as necessary.
Maintaining accurate and acceptable files on each client/show, in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Maintain the client relationship as it related to the weekly processing of the clients payroll. This includes responding to questions in timely manner and resolving payroll issues swiftly and accurately.
Functions as the Director NM Operations when that person is not present.
Responsible to train new hires, and other employees in various aspects of processing payroll.
Performs other related duties and assignments as assigned.

Industry experience is desired

Must have a minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience in the entertainment payroll industry
Schedule must be flexible to accommodate workload and client needs
